Red Bull ditches 'Macarena' wing for Spa after Verstappen's crashes
Red Bull has removed its revolving 'Macarena' rear wing for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa following two consecutive high-speed crashes involving Max Verstappen at the Austrian and British GPs. Verstappen described the wing's behaviour as 'super dangerous,' with problems occurring when the moveable wing switches between straight and corner modes. Team principal Laurent Mekies had previously promised a thorough analysis after Verstappen's crash at Copse during the British GP, and the team confirmed on Thursday at Spa that the wing solution has been set aside for the weekend.
