Red Bull was left "surprised" by Antonelli's pace en route to Monaco GP win
Kimi Antonelli won the Monaco Grand Prix to become the youngest grand slam winner in Formula 1 history, securing his fifth consecutive victory after pole-sitter Max Verstappen retired early due to engine issues. Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies admitted Antonelli's pace 'surprised' many, saying it was impossible to know if Verstappen could have matched him had he stayed in the race.
