Report: Sixers have ‘expressed interest in acquiring' LeBron James

The Philadelphia 76ers have expressed interest in signing 41-year-old unrestricted free agent LeBron James, according to a report by The Athletic's Tony Jones. James, who averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds last season and made his 22nd consecutive All-Star Game, has decided not to return to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Miami Heat are also considered frontrunners for James, who would need to take a significant pay cut from his previous $52.6 million salary to join Philadelphia, which already has major contracts for Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, and Tyrese Maxey.
