Report: Wyndham ending 20-year run as PGA Tour title sponsor

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will not renew its PGA Tour title sponsorship after a 20-year run, ending its association with the Greensboro, North Carolina tournament it has backed since 2007. Raymond James is reported as the likely successor sponsor, with the Greensboro event expected to join the PGA Tour's top-tier Championship Series in 2028 at Sedgefield Country Club, supported by a proposed $40 million in North Carolina state funding. Championship Series sponsorships cost at least $30 million per year, and five other events have already secured spots in the 2028 series lineup.
