Reports: Conor McGregor will return to MMA for summer rematch with Max Holloway
Conor McGregor, who has not fought since breaking his ankle against Dustin Poirier in 2021, is reportedly close to finalizing a deal to return to the UFC this summer. According to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani, McGregor is 'on the goal line' of signing for a rematch with Max Holloway at UFC 290 on July 11 during International Fight Week. UFC president Dana White confirmed he is 'very confident' the 37-year-old will fight soon, though no contract has been signed and no opponent officially announced, with a formal announcement potentially expected before UFC 250 on June 14.
