Revealed: How Lord's is taking drastic action to sort pitch problems for 2027 Ashes Test after 'unsatisfactory' surface against New Zealand

Lord's Cricket Ground is taking drastic action to address pitch problems ahead of the 2027 Ashes Test. The issues stem from the first Test against New Zealand in June, where the surface exhibited variable bounce and was rated 'unsatisfactory' by the ICC. The groundstaff had only 10 clear days to prepare the pitch before that match, contributing to the poor conditions.
