Revolution II sign Academy forward/winger Makai Wells to MLS NEXT Pro contract

New England Revolution II have signed 17-year-old Academy forward/winger Makai Wells to a one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract running through June 30, 2027, the club announced on August 9, 2026. Wells becomes the 17th Revolution Academy player to sign a professional contract with Revolution II, having joined the academy ahead of the 2025-26 MLS NEXT season where he recorded one goal and one assist. Prior to joining New England, Wells played for the Barca Residency Academy during the 2024-25 MLS NEXT season, scoring 27 goals.
