Rising star Crocombe makes hat-trick history

Sussex seamer Henry Crocombe, 24, became just the seventh player in first-class cricket history to take hat-tricks in successive matches, achieving the feat twice in eight days during the Rothesay County Championship against Somerset and Essex. The hat-tricks, which he described as unprecedented at any level of his career, helped keep Sussex in contention for the title with three rounds remaining. His performances also earned him back-to-back man-of-the-match awards and a call-up to England's squad for the upcoming Metro Bank ODI Series against Sri Lanka.
