Tadej Pogačar won stage four of the 2026 Vuelta a España on August 25, attacking solo with 50km remaining in Andorra to claim victory by 2 minutes and 39 seconds over second-placed Jarno Widar, completing the 104.8km mountainous stage in 2 hours, 40 minutes and 35 seconds. The 27-year-old Slovenian's solo breakaway of 50km surpassed his previous Grand Tour best of 43km set at the Tour de France. Pogačar now leads the overall Vuelta classification by 3 minutes and 21 seconds over Primoz Roglic, putting him on course to win his first Vuelta and complete the full set of Grand Tour titles.
