Roger Federer and Mary Carillo’s personal tennis Halls of Fame define emotional night in Newport
Roger Federer, the 20-time Grand Slam champion, was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, approximately four years after retiring from professional tennis. He was inducted alongside Mary Carillo, a former player and pioneering broadcaster and journalist, in a ceremony attended by more than 5,000 people. Both inductees used their speeches to pay tribute to the people who helped shape their careers rather than focusing on their own personal achievements.
