Rogers completes Chelsea switch from Aston Villa

Morgan Rogers has completed a £117 million ($157.28m) transfer from Aston Villa to Chelsea, making him the most expensive British player ever, surpassing Elliot Anderson's fee to Manchester City by £1 million. Rogers, who scored 31 goals in 125 appearances for Villa, chose Chelsea and manager Xabi Alonso over interest from Arsenal. Middlesbrough, who sold Rogers to Villa in 2024 for £15 million, are set to receive a sell-on fee from the deal.
