Rory McIlroy goes aggressive to stay in The Open hunt
Rory McIlroy carded a 3-under-par 67 at Royal Birkdale on Friday at The Open Championship, moving him to 1 under par for the tournament after hovering near the cut line. The world No. 2 took an aggressive approach with his driver, notably on the 414-yard par-4 ninth hole, recording birdies to salvage his round. McIlroy enters the weekend trailing leaders Lucas Herbert and Sam Burns, who both shot 62s, by at least seven shots.
