Rory McIlroy headlines field at FedEx St. Jude Championship, opening event of FedExCup Playoffs

Rory McIlroy has officially committed to play at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, the opening event of the FedExCup Playoffs, after missing the tournament last year. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, defending FedExCup champion Tommy Fleetwood, and defending event winner Justin Rose have also publicly committed to the field. McIlroy will enter the Playoffs outside the top 10 of the FedExCup standings for the first time since 2021, with the full 70-man field to be finalized on Sunday, August 10.
