Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay part of five-way tie for lead at Genesis Scottish Open

Rory McIlroy shot a 5-under 65 in the first round of the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, highlighted by an 18-foot eagle putt on the par-5 first hole and birdies on the other two par 5s. Patrick Cantlay, Tom Kim, and Bernd Wiesberger also carded 65s to share the lead with McIlroy in a five-way tie. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was among the afternoon starters on the opening Thursday of the tournament.
