Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay part of four-way tie for early lead at Genesis Scottish Open

Rory McIlroy shot a 5-under 65 at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, to share the early lead at the Genesis Scottish Open on Thursday. McIlroy highlighted his round with an 18-foot eagle putt on the par-5 first hole and birdies on the other two par 5s. Patrick Cantlay, Tom Kim, and Bernd Wiesberger also carded 65s to join McIlroy in the four-way tie atop the leaderboard, while world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was among the afternoon starters.
