Rox calling up No. 20 prospect for MLB debut vs. Nats (source)

The Colorado Rockies are calling up right-hander Mason Adams, their No. 20 prospect, to make his MLB debut on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, starting against the Washington Nationals. Adams, 26, was acquired in the Trade Deadline deal that sent center fielder Brenton Doyle to the Chicago White Sox, and posted a 2.08 ERA in three Triple-A starts with Albuquerque. His promotion comes as left-hander Kyle Freeland is expected to be placed on the 15-day injured list with a pinched nerve in his neck.
