Royal Ascot: John Gosden hails Ombudsman among his greats after wowing crowd in Prince Of Wales's Stakes
Ombudsman successfully defended his Prince of Wales's Stakes title at Royal Ascot on day two, beating Minnie Hauk and Daryz in the 10-furlong Group One race. Trained by John and Thady Gosden and sent off as the 11-10 favourite, Ombudsman became the first horse to win back-to-back in the event since Gosden-trained Muhtarram in 1995. Elsewhere on day two, one-eyed Victorious impressed in the Queen Mary Stakes for Aidan O'Brien, and Blue Bolt shone in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes.
