Royal Ascot Stable Tour: Karl Burke on his main runners

Trainer Karl Burke is set to send a team of 15-20 runners to Royal Ascot, with Venetian Sun headlining as the ante-post favourite for the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup. The Starman filly, owned by Tony Bloom and Ian McAleavy and purchased for 240,000 guineas at the 2024 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, bounced back from a poor 1,000 Guineas run to win the Group 2 Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock by three lengths on May 23. Burke previously won the Commonwealth Cup with Quiet Reflection in 2016, who later sold for 2,100,000 guineas.
