Royal Palm Beach junior Giuseppe Puebla beats pros to make U.S. Open

Royal Palm Beach junior Giuseppe Puebla, 17, qualified for the 126th U.S. Open after shooting 7-under (69-68) to tie PGA Tour veteran Ben Silverman for first place in Florida's U.S. Open qualifier on June 8 at BallenIsles Country Club. Ranked No. 2 in the AJGA Rolex Rankings, Puebla beat all but one professional in the 73-man field during the 36-hole qualifying event. He will compete in the U.S. Open from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.
