Rugby brain injury case able to continue after high court ruling

London's High Court ruled on Friday that lawsuits from more than 500 former rugby union and league players over neurological injuries can continue, despite their former lawyers' failure to disclose key medical evidence to governing bodies. The defendants — including World Rugby, the Rugby Football Union, the Welsh Rugby Union, the Rugby Football League, and the British Amateur Rugby League Association — had sought to have the cases dismissed on those grounds. The judge ruled that the claimants were 'blameless' for the missing documents, allowing the cases to proceed.
