Rugby legend Kevin Sinfield finally knighted in Birthday Honours for MND fundraising heroics

Rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield has been knighted in the Birthday Honours list for his extraordinary fundraising efforts for motor neurone disease (MND) charities. Sinfield, who represented England in rugby league between 2000 and 2013, was inspired to raise funds after his former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow was diagnosed with MND. His tireless campaigning and charity work on behalf of MND sufferers earned him the prestigious honour.
