Rugby players seek new lawyers for brain injury cases against governing bodies
Hundreds of former rugby league and rugby union players pursuing brain injury litigation against governing bodies are in jeopardy after their solicitor Richard Boardman formally requested to be removed from the case following criticism of his handling by managing judge Senior Master Cook. Barrister Susan Rodway KC warned the claimants are now 'staring into the precipice' without adequate legal representation. Law firm Leigh Day, which has been working on the case as consultants since February, may step in to take over the litigation.
