Runner targets rare Triple Crown at London Marathon

Apryl Hammett, a 54-year-old librarian from Chelmsford and breast cancer survivor, is set to complete her 100th road marathon at the London Marathon on Sunday, which would earn her the rare '100 Marathon Club Triple Crown'. She has already completed over 100 trail marathons and 100 ultra-marathons in her 25 years of running, with Sunday's race marking her 465th marathon overall. Hammett is running in aid of the Alzheimer's Society following a family member's dementia diagnosis.
