Russell wins static Dutch Grand Prix sprint race
George Russell won the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix sprint race at Zandvoort on August 22, starting from pole position and leading all 24 laps in a largely processional event where only two position changes occurred in the top 10. Lando Norris initially pressured Russell but dropped over a second behind during laps nine and ten due to a loose rear end. Kimi Antonelli made the sole notable move by jumping Oscar Piastri at the start, while Charles Leclerc attempted a soft-tyre gamble but it yielded little reward.
