Rybakina, Sabalenka lead season-ending WTA Finals groups

The WTA Finals draw, held on Tuesday, has placed top-ranked Elena Rybakina and world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka as group leaders in separate round-robin groups at Indian Wells Tennis Garden, with the tournament running from Sunday through November 15. Rybakina, the defending champion who also won the US Open, heads Group 1 alongside Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Linda Noskova, while Sabalenka leads Group 2 with Mirra Andreeva, Elina Svitolina, and Karolina Muchova. The top two players from each group will advance to the semifinals, and this marks the first time the Finals have been played outdoors since the 2023 event in Cancun, Mexico.
