Sabastian Sawe to defend title at Berlin Marathon
Kenyan runner Sabastian Sawe, who set a world record of 1:59:30 to win the London Marathon and became the first person to run a sub-two-hour marathon in legal race conditions, will return to defend his title at the Berlin Marathon on September 27. In that same London race, Yomif Kejelcha (1:59:41) and Jacob Kiplimo (2:00:28) also broke the previous world record of 2:00:35. Sawe previously won Berlin in 2:02:16 under hot conditions and has expressed his intention to run as fast as possible at the renowned fast course.
