Sad news as key athletics figure Tom McNab passes away aged 92

Tom McNab, the Scottish triple jumper and transformative athletics coach, has died at the age of 92. Born on 16 December 1933 in Glasgow, McNab won four Scottish senior triple jump championships and set a Scottish record of 14.58m in 1958, before serving as National Athletics Coach for England from 1963 for nearly 15 years, mentoring Olympic-level athletes. Beyond sport, he was also a prolific author and a key creative figure behind the iconic film Chariots of Fire.
