Salford and Derby retain titles at North of England relays

At the North of England AA Cross-Country Relays held at Graves Park, Sheffield on October 17, Salford's men and Derby's women retained their respective titles. Salford's A team narrowly beat their own B squad by just seven seconds, with Harry Wakefield's fastest leg of 9:42 on stage three proving decisive after the B team had briefly taken the lead. Gateshead finished third, aided by Calum Johnson's second-fastest split of 9:46.
