Samoskevich traded to Kraken by Panthers for draft picks

The Florida Panthers traded 23-year-old forward Mackie Samoskevich to the Seattle Kraken on Sunday in exchange for a first-round pick (No. 25) in the 2026 NHL Draft and a second-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft. Samoskevich posted a career-high 32 points (12 goals, 20 assists) in 77 games this season and won the Stanley Cup with Florida in 2025. The restricted free agent-eligible forward was originally selected by Florida with the 24th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft and has recorded 63 points in 156 regular-season games.
