Saturday singles: Grehan’s improbable comeback over Stout powers GB&I lead

Irishman Stuart Grehan produced a remarkable comeback victory over world No. 1 ranked amateur Preston Stout in the singles matches at the 51st Walker Cup, held at Lahinch. The 33-year-old Grehan won each of the final three holes to overturn a deficit and defeat Stout. His win proved pivotal in powering Great Britain & Ireland into the lead in the team competition.
