Scheffler says PGA Tour headed 'in right direction' with two-tier system

PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp unveiled the revamped model on Tuesday, featuring a two-tier system set to launch in 2028: a top-tier PGA Tour Championship Series of approximately 23 events including majors, and a PGA Tour Challenger Series of at least 20 events providing a pathway to the elite circuit. Scheffler made his comments ahead of the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut, which begins Thursday and is the last signature event of the 2026 season.
