Scottie Scheffler rides another runner-up to PGA Tour FedEx Cup points lead

Scottie Scheffler has reclaimed the PGA Tour FedEx Cup points lead after recording three consecutive runner-up finishes, the most recent being a second-place result behind Cameron Young at the Cadillac Championship at Trump Doral on May 3, 2026. He had previously finished second to Matt Fitzpatrick at the RBC Championship, and temporarily lost the points lead when Fitzpatrick and his brother Alex won the Zurich Classic. Scheffler will next look to defend his PGA Championship title at Aronimink near Philadelphia, scheduled for May 14-17.
