Scottie Scheffler to skip Truist Championship in run-up to PGA
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has opted out of the Truist Championship, a $20 million signature event scheduled for May 7-10 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C., one week before the PGA Championship. Scheffler, who won his first PGA Championship at Quail Hollow last year, has one win and four top-five finishes so far in 2025. The rest of the top 10 in the world rankings will compete, with the exception of eighth-ranked Russell Henley, while Rory McIlroy seeks a fifth victory at the venue.
