Scottie Scheffler welcomed to Minnesota by playing with Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell in 3M Open pro-am

World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler participated in the pro-am at the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota, playing alongside Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell on Wednesday morning. Scheffler, described as the most dominant No. 1 golfer since Tiger Woods, is set to begin Round 1 on Thursday at 7:29 a.m. alongside Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im, just four days after finishing tied for fourth as defending champion at the British Open. His appearance marks only the fifth time a world No. 1-ranked men's golfer has competed in Minnesota since the world golf rankings began in 1986, and he will attempt to become the first of those five to win there.
