Sean Bowen: Champion jockey criticises 'stupid' calendar but eyes records
Welsh jockey Sean Bowen, 28, has retained his title as Britain's leading jumps jockey for the second consecutive year, finishing the 2024-25 season with 241 winners — nearly double the tally of runner-up Harry Skelton, who recorded 127. Bowen officially secured the championship following racing at Sandown. Despite the achievement, he has criticised the sport's scheduling as 'stupid' and called on officials to introduce more meaningful rest breaks for jockeys.
