Second row Josh Caulfield returns to Bristol Bears

Bristol Bears have signed second row Josh Caulfield from Ealing Trailfinders ahead of the 2026/27 season, marking his return to Ashton Gate after one season in Championship Rugby. The 29-year-old Bristolian previously made 36 appearances for the Bears between 2023 and 2025 before departing in 2025. Director of Rugby Pat Lam welcomed the signing, citing Caulfield's familiarity with the club's culture and his value as a set-piece operator and ball carrier.
