In NHL preseason action on September 20, Brady Tkachuk made his Florida Panthers debut with two goals and an assist, helping the team to a 6-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Tkachuk, who was traded from the Ottawa Senators on June 21 in exchange for multiple draft picks, scored his first goal on a power-play wrist shot assisted by his brother Matthew. Cole Reinhardt also scored twice for the Panthers, while Jacob Markstrom stopped 21 shots in net.
