The Dallas Stars defeated the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in an NHL preseason game on September 25 at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota, with Thomas Harley and Radek Faksa scoring for Dallas and Casey DeSmith making 26 saves. Minnesota defenseman Brock Faber left the game after the second period as a precautionary measure after being struck in the head by a puck, though he had returned for shifts before being held out. Tyler Seguin made his preseason debut for the Stars, playing 13:57 in his first game since tearing his ACL on December 2 of the previous season.
