Serena Williams: Victoria Mboko injury withdrawal ends Queen's Club doubles campaign on return to tennis

Serena Williams has been forced to withdraw from the Queen's Club doubles tournament after her partner Victoria Mboko suffered a knee injury. Mboko had limped off court in tears on Wednesday during her singles match against Karolina Pliskova, conceding with the scores 6-2 3-4 in the second set. The withdrawal came after Williams and Mboko had beaten third-seeded pair Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 in Williams' first competitive appearance since the 2022 US Open.
