Serena Williams will return to tennis with Queen’s doubles wild card ahead of Wimbledon - The Athletic
Serena Williams, 43-time Grand Slam singles champion, will return to professional tennis after nearly four years away, accepting a doubles wild card at the Queen's Club grass-court tournament ahead of Wimbledon. She will partner Canadian player Victoria Mboko, as confirmed by tournament director Laura Robson on TNT Sports. Williams, 44, became eligible to compete on February 22 after completing a required six-month period in tennis' anti-doping testing pool, and whether she will use Queen's as a springboard to play Wimbledon — a tournament she has won seven times — remains uncertain.
