Shakhtar CEO hopes for resolution on Mudryk ban

Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Serhii Palkin has expressed support for Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk, 24, who remains provisionally suspended after testing positive for the banned substance Meldonium in a routine urine test flagged by the FA in December 2024. Mudryk was formally charged in June 2025 and is currently unable to train with Chelsea while awaiting a verdict on his case. If found guilty, Mudryk could face a ban of up to four years under FA guidelines, though he has denied any knowing use of banned substances.
