Shergar’s sad demise has racefans hoping famous colours sparkle at Royal Ascot
A horse named Daryz, representing the stud connected to the legendary racehorse Shergar, is set to compete at Royal Ascot on Wednesday. Shergar, widely regarded as one of the greatest racehorses of all time, famously won at Ascot in the 1981 King George and was later kidnapped and killed in 1983. Racefans are hopeful that Daryz can revive the famous colours associated with Shergar's legacy at the premier Flat racing meeting of the year.
