Silesia 2026: Five things to look out for

The Wanda Diamond League meeting in Silesia this weekend features several marquee matchups, including Jakob Ingebrigtsen's Diamond League comeback and a 100m clash between reigning Olympic champion Julien Alfred and world champion Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, their first head-to-head at that distance since the World Championships in Tokyo last September. The event begins Saturday in Katowice's market square, where Gianmarco Tamberi competes in the high jump against Mutaz Barshim and others, having recently won his fourth European Championships gold medal in Birmingham with a jump of 2.32m.
