Sinner overcomes rust and five-set demons to edge past Kecmanovic in Wimbledon opener

World No 1 Jannik Sinner opened his Wimbledon title defence with a hard-fought five-set victory over Miomir Kecmanovic on Centre Court, winning 4-6, 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-2, 6-3. Sinner overcame being two sets to one down, as well as a fall and a bleeding foot during the match. The win is particularly notable given Sinner's previously poor five-set record of six wins and 12 defeats heading into the match.
