Sinner storms past Zverev to win Madrid, makes Masters 1000 history
Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-2 in the Mutua Madrid Open final on Sunday to become the first man in history to win five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles. The world No. 1 has won Paris, Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo, and Madrid, dropping only two sets across all five title runs. Sinner also extended his head-to-head winning streak against Zverev to nine consecutive matches without facing a single break point in the Madrid final.
