Sir Kevin Sinfield: Rob Burrow would ‘laugh but be really proud’ at knighthood
Sir Kevin Sinfield, rugby coach and motor neurone disease campaigner, was awarded a knighthood as part of an honours ceremony conducted by the Prince of Wales, making him one of 60 people to receive honours. Sinfield believes his close friend and former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow, who died from MND in June 2024, would have found the honour amusing but would have been genuinely proud. Sinfield has been widely recognised for his tireless fundraising efforts for MND research in support of Burrow.
