Six Nations and Sanzaar agree to sell global broadcast rights together in unique deal

The Six Nations and Sanzaar unions have agreed to collectively sell their media rights and commercial deals together for the first time, forming a unique revenue-sharing model unprecedented in sport. Under the arrangement, southern hemisphere nations will receive a share of profits from Six Nations and British & Irish Lions tours, while European countries will benefit from deals generated by the Rugby Championship and the New Zealand vs South Africa 'Greatest Rivalry' series. A new rights management agency will be established to oversee the joint sales process.
