Skubal gets the nod over Yamamoto for LA in NLDS Game 1

The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially named Tarik Skubal as their Game 1 starter for the NLDS, choosing him over Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Manager Dave Roberts cited the strategic advantage of Skubal's left-handed pitching against an Atlanta lineup that struggled against southpaws, as well as rotation rest considerations for the five-game series. Skubal revealed he was informed of the decision on September 25 after throwing seven scoreless innings in San Francisco.
