Sled hockey debuts at 2026 Amerigol LATAM Cup

Sled hockey made its on-ice debut at the 2026 Amerigol LATAM Cup in Coral Springs, Florida, with members of South Florida's Space Coast Sled Hockey team playing exhibition games and hosting try-hockey clinics for the first time in the tournament's eight-year history. The event, held at the Florida Panthers IceDen and Palm Beach Skate Zone, features more than 1,500 players representing 16 countries and territories, running through August 9. LATAM Cup founder Juan Carlos Otero introduced sled hockey to align with the tournament's mission of promoting inclusion and accessibility in the sport.
