Smith's title homecoming off, ruled out with injury

Dalton Smith has been ruled out of his WBC super-lightweight title defence against Alberto Puello, scheduled for June 6 in Sheffield, due to an undisclosed injury sustained in training camp, confirmed by Matchroom Boxing. Smith had won the WBC title with a stoppage victory over Subriel Matias in New York and was set to defend it for the first time in his home city. The card will now be headlined by a flyweight unification bout between Galal Yafai and Ricardo Sandoval, which has been elevated from the undercard.
